 ABOUT EPIC Community Collaboration Program:

WHAT: EPIC Community Collaboration Program will provide educators, front line workers and local organisations who support young people with knowledge, skills and confidence to identify and collaborate with carers of young people facing challenges to promote wellbeing, community connection, empathy and empowerment.

WHY: The program will enable those working with carers of young people to understand the challenges experienced from the perspective of parents/carers of young people. Attendees will be empowered to respond to carers of young people in collaborative ways, enabling carers and their young person to thrive. The program acknowledges that parents/carers are first responders to their young people and will focus on identifying core concerns such as trauma and resulting behaviours such as school refusal, alcohol and other drugs misuse, self harm, etc. Attendees will gain strategies on self awareness, empathy, connecting communication techniques, stages of change, acceptance and ethical decision making techniques and more.

WHO: The EPIC Collaboration Project will engage with high schools, hospitals, police, General Practitioners, allied health professionals, local council bodies, youth support organisations, sporting and arts bodies that work with young people.

COST: To create the program including content, design, marketing, administrative costs and project management will be $7500. Once the program is complete, facilitation per session will be $1000 including marketing and incidentals.
